Here at Pink Leopard, we can use Facebook and Instagram to help your Aesthetics clinic or Medspa seize the rapidly growing market for non-invasive cosmetics procedures. But what else can you do to create a successful marketing strategy? We’ve put together some tips to help you attract and retain a loyal client base, in an increasingly saturated market.

1. Before you broadcast your success, you must accept your responsibility

In a world surrounded by Love Island, Instagram influencers and Kardashians, make sure you are mindful of the potential to negatively encourage vulnerable people to undergo procedures due to a lack of self-esteem. When Dove were carrying out their survey for Real Beauty, only 2% of their female-identifying respondents said that they would describe themselves as “beautiful”, so when you are marketing your clinic or Medspa, make sure you remain conscientious and uplifting to your audience!

2. Keep on top of trends

Whilst staying mindful of the effects the boom of reality TV have had on the non-invasive cosmetics industry, it is important to note that this growth has meant we are more exposed to both celebrities and regular people receiving these treatments. When Kylie Jenner began sporting larger lips, consultations for lip augmentation rose by a staggering 70%, and the TV giant that is Love Island has meant that clinics have seen an increase in skin rejuvenation procedures. Staying in tune to what is trending in the media and celeb world can mean the difference between being ahead of the curve, or blink-and-you-miss-it losses.
3. Use social media to tell your story

Studies show that the brain is better equipped to soak up factual information when it is entertained. Using real stories and pictures of past patients’ procedures can be a useful tool in giving the facts and answering questions about the process, meanwhile keeping the audience captivated and able to see themselves potentially getting that procedure. Posts celebrating your successes with accompanying photos can also make you stand out in a sea of stock images, give potential clients proof that you are experts at what you do, and create a loyal client base that will engage with your posts again and again.

4. Write regular and informative blog posts ✏️

Blogging is a fave marketing tool for us at Pink Leopard, as blogs can be accessed anywhere, and are an effective way to chat to your client base and create a bank of repeat readers, who are likely to be converted into leads if they aren’t already. You can use your blog as an opportunity to gush about a new procedure you love doing, talk about your growth as a business or what sets you apart from the rest! Just make sure to keep your posts positive, colourful and informative!

5. Let your clinic speak for itself!

You will need to ensure that the interior design of your clinic is inviting, clean and unique, as this sets the tone for how every potential client who walks past your window will be treated. It’s important to note that men now account for 14% of all cosmetic procedures, so try to keep it unisex so as not to block off any of your market!

7. An action-prompting, ongoing supply of Before-and-After photos 📸 💁🏼‍♀️

We’ve all seen them while scrolling through our Insta feeds and have been left transfixed by the perfect lips, smoother skin and fuller cheeks following a procedure, but before and after photos are one of the most effective ways to market your services! Providing you have your patient’s consent, posting pics of their results provides physical evidence to your audience that they will be in the best and most capable hands, in a sterile and hygienic environment, should they consider getting the same procedure with you. It is also a good way to get people excited about the services you provide, meanwhile letting them know that they are affordable, and received by ‘real’ people.

8. Make it Mobile! 📲

In 2015, Mobile traffic overtook desktop traffic for the first time ever, and Digital Marketing has never been the same since. In 2020, a large portion of your online presence will be seen on a smartphone or tablet screen, so it’s important to ensure that all of your media is mobile-optimised, and available to access on-the-go. This includes emails, as over 68% of emails are accessed via mobile device!

9. Guerilla tactics

Guerilla marketing is a strong tool that can do your marketing for you. Putting down a one-time investment to put your name on carrier bags or stickers on mirrors in gyms and public bathrooms, can make you a recognised brand through subliminal messaging!
