We've been brainstorming a lot here at Pink Leopard (via Zoom meetings obviously) around ways we can really add value and serve our clients (and the wider community) through this time and we wanted to share some ideas that we've put together.
We know nothing is going to help more than the Government saying that operation lockdown has worked and COVID-19 has disappeared so it's time to open your doors again and watch clients flood in, however, maybe there are a few things here that can help you gain some more traction or exposure that's going to help your business in the short and long term that you may not normally have thought of.
So here are some simple tips:
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Ask your clients for video testimonials (or at the very least to leave a written Google/FB review on the relevant platforms) however, nothing is better than a video testimonial. Even a short clip on the products they buy from you so you can post them right now (give them a free product for doing so) or any treatment they've previously received from you when the clinic was open. It literally can be "I had a Hydrafacial last month by Alice at Beautify Clinic and I have never had such glowing skin. I saw instant results and even weeks later my skin feels amazing." --> really that's all it needs to be.
Video testimonials are gold and really help your business grow (it's something we are constantly trying to get for our own business too but we understand it's a harder task than it sounds!)
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Advertise an insanely low offer right now. Buy now but to use when you're open. You don't have to do this but if cash flow is tight then why not?! Make sure you still profit from it but try and get as many sales as you can right now to keep the cash flowing. Post it on social media, email it out to your list, boost it as an ad... really whatever you can do to get the offer out there. Remember all marketing really is, is making sure you have something that people want and getting it in front of those people. So it's not to say people don't want to buy from you right now but you may just have to adjust what you're offering to make it attractive to them. If I saw a course of 6 hydrafacials for example, for half the cost of what they normally are then I would 100% buy right now to use when my clinic is open because it's my favourite treatment and I know that I will be just be buying them at full price post lockdown.
OR if you don't need the revenue coming in right now or need new clients, then check out our next point instead.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Create some really good video content while time is on your side (which we are seeing across a lot more clinics that we follow on Instagram, which is great) and you can see a lot more thought going into their posts instead of just the usual "buy my stuff". Videos are so simple to create just using your iphone (they do not need to be professional nor do they need to be hours long)
Quick 1-3 minute videos on topics such as:
๐Ÿ“นWhat are the top 3 treatments you recommend at your clinic and why/ how do they work.
๐Ÿ“นA 5 step skin routine anyone can follow right now thatโ€™ll get you glowing skin.
๐Ÿ“นThe best things you can be eating right now to help your skin glow from the inside out.
๐Ÿ“นWhy you should be wearing SPF every single day and what will happen if you don't.
Basically just great tips that people will consume while they have time and there are more eyeballs on social media. You can boost each of these posts on Facebook to your audience to reach more people too.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Use this time to take some great images and short videos for your social media posts and ads (the ones youโ€™ve been meaning to do for ever). Set up a pretend treatment station at home or if you still have access to the clinic, go in and take some photo's there. Have your isolation buddy/partner come and help if you need a โ€œpatientโ€ in order to stage some pics!
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Do a mega giveaway/online competition to boost some awareness and get some great engagement. A free treatment(s) or some products that they can win just by sharing your post or tagging a friend. Remember - the better the giveaway - the more interaction, and the more exposure for you, so donโ€™t be stingy ๐Ÿ˜‰
๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Identify the top 10% of your biggest spenders. Can you send something to them right now to let them know youโ€™re thinking of them? Maybe a card or a free product, a little skincare pack for isolation? Or a voucher to use in the clinic as soon as you open? We saw a great idea that a local gym had done recently - they sent a care package to all of their clients which involved a home workout guide, a skipping rope, some protein and other goodies. What an incredible idea to keep your clients happy and engaged! Their clients were also posting these on social media and tagging in the gym with such gratitude - an incredible message and exposure for them!
We hope these tips are useful and get the creative juices flowing!
